Our Legacy

Riverside Elementary School is a high performing neighborhood school. Riverside is noted for its emphasis on integrating technology into a strong and challenging curriculum. Students participate in a flexible library schedule, which enables the students to visit the library whenever necessary to read or do research. Riverside also has an in-school television, KRAM, and an in-school RADIO STATION (94.1 FM). Both are produced and directed by our students. Students give daily news broadcasts as well as special programs and events that highlight school activities.

Riverside offers a range of different programs and activities to enhance learning and facilitate student achievement. Riverside's Art and Technology program combines art and technology with other subjects to create alternative learning situations for all students. Our students participate in French language studies. This is a wonderful program that allows students to learn the French language and French culture. Other outstanding programs and activities offered at Riverside include a technology lab, science lab, student council, football, cheerleading, Accelerated Reader, Fastt Math and many other exciting programs and activities.

The Riverside Parent Teacher Association (PTA) promotes the education and welfare of all of our students. All parents and grandparents are encouraged to join and participate in activities of this organization. Parents are an important component of our school's success.

Some of our prestigious alumni include Kix Brooks from Brooks and Dunn, Caddo's Coroner Dr. Todd G. Thoma, business owners, doctors, lawyers, distinguished educators, and many other professionals. Riverside has a tradition of academic excellence.
